We are looking for Quality Engineer for our Yahoo bangalore office.
this is on contractor for 1 year and seeing the performance we will hire.

Job Description
As an individual contributor
1. Create, execute, and maintain manual and automated test cases.
2. Develop and maintain test programs including test tools and automated test suites.
3. Reports defects and verifies defect fixes.
4. Work closely with the development team to analyze, debug and resolve any issues.
5. Produce a Quality report for every major release.
6. Collaborate effectively with the Development team and other QA engineers to develop comprehensive test cases.
7. Conduct periodic bug scrubs to improve test case coverage and reduce production regressions.
Skill Requirements
Mandatory Skills
General
1. 2+ years of testing experience
2. B.E/M.S in Computer Science or related discipline preferred.
3. Should have passion for Quality.
4. Good written and oral communication
5. Ability to work with teams across a matrix organization.
6. Good analytical and problem solving skills
7. Good debugging and troubleshooting skills.
8. Should be a team player and a self motivator.
Technical
1. Good working knowledge with Unix.
2. Good understanding of
1. Any RDBMS ( MySQL/Oracle/SQL Server/Other(s) )
2. Database concepts and SQL queries
3. Hands on experience with one or more of the following
a. Selenium/QTP/Rational/other functional testing automation tool(s)
b. Loadrunner/Jmeter/SLAMD/other performance testing tool(s)
c. Ruby/Perl/javascript/other scripting language(s)
d. Java/C++/C/other programming language(s)
4. Good test scenario identification abilities.
Domain
1. Good test planning and test case development experience.
2. Good understanding of defect and test case management.
Desired Skills
1. Working knowledge with Web/Client Server technology(s).
2. Experience in testing Web/Web Services/ Search/Database applications
3. Working knowledge with Security/Vulnerability/Network testing.
4. Working knowledge with API/SDK testing.
5. Working knowledge in one or more areas from the following list
a. Automation/unit testing frameworks like Junit/TestNG/Other(s) .
b. Security/Vulnerability/Network testing.
c. Debugging tools like gdb/dbx, strace/dtrace.
