Job description for Test Engineers


Primary skills:


Understanding of the Financial domain is a must



• Good knowledge on the SDLC / STLC

• Fair understanding of the various Testing Methodologies used in Industry

• Good knowledge on the FS (Banking / Insurance / Capital Markets) domain

• Writes Test Plans/ Test Scenarios and Test Cases after clearly understanding the requirements

• Follows effective methods for Query Resolution / Issue escalation/resolution

• Good knowledge in testing web based / Mainframe applications

• Participate in walkthroughs with the Business (BA's)

• Good understanding of the test data needs for testing the given application

• Familiar with testing the applications under the changing environment.

• Familiar with Release based model / Agile methodology

• Thorough knowledge on the Defect life cycle

• Timely escalation / Follow ups of the critical defects, Timely retesting of the defects


Soft Skills:



Good communication skills, both (Written and Verbal)

• An ability to think fast and learn quickly

• Works well in a team environment and alone

• Manage day to day individual workload, monitoring milestones and critical dates to meet the timelines


Experience: 3-5 yrs

Job Description for Senior Test Engineers


Primary Skills:


• Experience in leading 3-5 members team

• Thorough knowledge on the SDLC/ STLC and various testing techniques and methodologies used in industry

• Good domain knowledge (must have 2 years of hands on experience in FS (Banking / Insurance / Capital Markets) domain)

• Participate in project and resource estimation

• Ability to timely communicate the essentials to client and to senior leadership.

• Contributing to overall Test Strategy.

• Ability to define and follow the effective processes within the project

• Must be able to interface with the customer to discuss solutions

• Develop and work with team on improvement exercises related to daily function and contribute to wider continuous improvement initiatives.

• Closure notes/ communication to the respective group



Soft Skills:



• Strong communication skills.

• Works well in a team environment.



Experience: 5-7 yrs



Drive Location: Pune/Hyderabad/Chennai
